Program Manager, Women'S And Children'S Service Line
CurrentRecruited to new service line model team at the System level to prototype how to manage and support strategic and operational initiatives for the Women’s & Children’s Service Line. Responsible for ensuring that designation for required programs at facilities and/or across System is achieved and sustained. In February 2022, launched the Neonatal Program Council to provide a forum to eliminate silos, accelerate sharing of best practices, provide real-time support for opportunities, trend data metrics as a system and by campus, and launched a group communication channel used for questions, support, and communicationd. Teams verbalized this has increased feelings of support and resulted in a notable increase in engagement and collaboration around the system. From August 2021-July 2022, led implementation for the Newborn Hearing Screening program transition from an external vendor to operations completed by in-house staff. Responsible for designing and standardizing in-house process in alignment with state laws and regulations, working with Human Resources to create job descriptions, creation of a System-wide procedure for hearing screening, and assisting with troubleshooting equipment, supply chain, and software as needed. Implementation completed on time by June 27, 2022, with resolution for all issues identified and ongoing support for on-site teams. By bringing this service in-house, this project will save an estimated $314,240-840,860 for FY2023 at $50-$70 per previous contract with external vendor and $604,240-$1.1 million for FY2024 at the previous contract rate. Supported PHIS implementation across the service line, expanding from one to 10 hospitals submitting data and generated baseline data for future interventions. This enabled a clinical documentation integrity (CDI) project estimated to save $200 million in the coming fiscal years.
