This role supports the Doctors Technology Office (DTO) team to develop and implement initiatives that support the use of health technology in clinical practice, as well as deliver advisory support & escalate concerns around health technology support services. In this role I provide leadership to the DTO team, inform in-practice and community level primary care technology initiatives, and work collaboratively with our sister program, the Practice Support Program, to develop practice support tools and resources related to health technology. Through this work I also collaborate with other programs within Doctors of BC and other provincial health service organizations to enhance alignment and support collaboration to achieve the shared vision for health information management & technology.

Initially volunteering as a requirement of my Programming Services for Youth Course, I stayed on to volunteer with the students of the JLA program beyond the requisite 20 hours, through the end of the year. As a volunteer I would spend time with the youth on Wednesdays & Fridays, during their offsite physical education trips, engaging with them and promoting healthy, active lifestyles.
