The result is a release process, jira project schema, and engineering documentation system that has been able to scale as more and more teams are added.Championing development of modular app architecture to enable mobile app development at scale.Took over leadership of critical camera features teams, led successful feature modularization and the first migration of a feature module into the new converged mobile application.

Hired to execute VP’s vision to transform Digital Home into a data-driven product organization, bring discipline to development practices to expedite delivery and improve quality, boost morale by increasing career development for engineers, and raise the engineering organization’s profile in the Philly tech ecosystem to attract top talent.Initially lead mobile infrastructure and app experience teams with a total of 16 members. Formed a third team for a new bluetooth device activation feature after hiring up to a total of 19 members.Revamped and standardized the hiring and onboarding process to raise standards for hiring and reduce susceptibility to bias. Hired and onboarded four engineers. Created a structured, reusable onboarding checklist for a smooth and easy onboarding process over the first week, first month, and first 90 days.Trained staff on Scrum and Kanban and improved discipline around practices like user story definition and grooming.Defined pull request checklist and code review standards and enforced a regular release cadence to increase both the predictability of delivery and the quality of our code for the xfinity home mobile apps. Managed the In-App Marketing, App Store Analytics, and Mobile SDK and Plugins teams, which includes responsibility for IAM's and ASA's entire realtime analytics engine, segmentation, APIs, and marketing platform as well as Tune's 13 mobile SDKs and plugins. Led Android and iOS development efforts building mobile apps for consumers to discover and save coupons.* Managed a team of mobile developers and introduced iterative development, unit testing, peer reviews, and CI.* Shipped innovative new feature with automatic image recognition and real-time chat in just three months.

Led Android and iOS SDK development efforts for mobile Artisan, a marketing automation SaaS company (acquired by Tune 2015).* Delivered innovative solutions that included Android apps, iOS SDKs, Rails web services, a rich JavaScript interface, and a cross-platform push notification engine and high-volume analytics processing system built in Java.* Wrote clear, easy to follow end-user documentation for our APIs.* Built synchronized web and native app automated test suite.

Taught Client Side Programming, an introductory Java programming course for undergraduates. Students learned how to create real-world Object-Oriented GUI applications using Java.

Delivered custom software solutions in a fast-paced, agile environment* Developed and deployed insurance underwriting and administrative desktop application. Built on the Eclipse Rich Client Platform and SQL, using Hibernate, the application has expanded service offerings and improved efficiency for the business.* Defined requirements for, designed and developed interactive web-based team development and performance optimization tool to supplement the work of personality type practitioners. Built in Ruby on Rails with SQL relational database, the application is able to provide dynamic information and advice on demand.* Contributed to medical malpractice application written in Java from a proprietary GUI library to Swing. Created web search application to locate and assess the readability of text on the internet. Developed a more accurate method for measuring readability of a text that takes each individual reader's subject knowledge into account. Published results: Eleni Miltsakaki and Audrey Troutt. 2007. “READ-X: Automatic evaluation of reading difficulty of web text.” In Proceedings of E-Learn 2007, Quebec, Canada, under the auspices of the Association for the Advancement of Computing in Education.Collaboration with professor at the University of Pennsylvania. Work funded by a grant from the 2007 GAPSA/Provost's Award for Interdisciplinary Innovation.
