Developed a more accurate method for measuring readability of a text that takes each individual reader's subject knowledge into account. Published results: Eleni Miltsakaki and Audrey Troutt. 2007. “READ-X: Automatic evaluation of reading difficulty of web text.” In Proceedings of E-Learn 2007, Quebec, Canada, under the auspices of the Association for the Advancement of Computing in Education.Collaboration with professor at the University of Pennsylvania. Work funded by a grant from the 2007 GAPSA/Provost's Award for Interdisciplinary Innovation.
