As a Regional Operations Manager in the Disability and Mental Health sector, I initiated efforts to ensure quality outcomes for individuals accessing the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) across Victoria, South Australia, and Tasmania. This role involves the direct management of disability residential accommodation facilities (SIL) within the Eastern division at LWB. Currently providing transformational leadership to 8 house supervisors and over 60 disability support workers whilst ensuring policy and procedures are upheld under the National Disability Insurance Scheme to ensure quality service delivery for participants. With particular emphasis on human rights, dignity and empowerment for the individuals that we support. Ensuring regular auditing and documentation is reflective of participant need, with emphasis on practice uplift and holistic approaches to support. This role involved the direct supervision of disability support workers (DSW) within high-medical residential accommodation facilities. In addition to administation tasks, I was also enaged in disability support work which involved providing social, medical and lifestyle support to participants with a disability within Supported Independent Living (SIL) environments under the NDIS. During this time I provided management of over 15 staff and 10 residents within this period to ensure quality outcomes for the people I supported in their homes. With particular experience working with people experiencing ASD, mental health conditions, physical, social and cognitive disaiblities. I worked predominantly from a strengths based approach with a particular empahsis on practice uplift - moving toward a transformational and empowering model of support.Training included: .
