Interviews clients at home, off-site or in the office to determine their employment and/or training needs and eligibility for social services.Develops an employment case plan in accordance with client's employment and training needs.Monitors and evaluates client progress in employment case plans and makes home or site visits when necessary.Counsels clients to help resolve problems and accomplish case plan goals.Refers clients to community resources, employment opportunities, training programs, and other agencies or organizations as needed.Monitors the availability of community resources, employment and training opportunities, and other programs.Consults with supervisors regarding employment resources, regulations, and programs.Interprets and applies laws, policies, procedures, rules and regulations governing social services programs to clients and the public.Conducts workshops and develops and makes presentations related to client employment and/or training needs.Represents the client and department in employment development activities.Maintains case files and prepares reports, memoranda, and correspondence.May arrange and oversee client participation in employment opportunity programs and transport clients to employment programs as needed.May provide testimony at fair hearings and prepare related written reports.
