I was among seven student leaders selected to help lead groups of Resident Assistants (RAs) through their experience serving the entire George Fox Community. Using my personal experience in the RA role, I helped RAs engage in conversation regarding diversity, mental health, and safety with their residents. I created a bridge in communication between RAs and the Area Coordinator (AC), a pro staff position at George Fox. I provided support to the AC in staff meetings, RA engagements, and student engagements.

As an RA for 2 years, I lived in freshman dorms while engaging freshmen in an impactful, meaningful, and joyful way. I facilitated group meetings, resolved conflicts, and organized floor and area wide events. Part of my role was to uphold and handle logistical appointments. These included George Fox University's life style contract, work requests from students, and rules and regulations. Perhaps the most important aspect of my job was to be a positive role model, academic and emotional leader, and engage in meaningful conversations with residents and coworkers

This was a summer employment position through George Fox's College of Engineering. Throughout the summer, I was able to bolster my technical ability in machining, fabricating, and rapid prototyping. I have been involved in projects utilizing our machine shop, wood shop, rapid prototyping lab, vinyl cutter, computer lab, and even our printed circuit board lab. Projects included building tool racks, laser engraving signs, familiarizing myself with the CNC wood router and other unfamiliar machines, fabricating test parts for incoming freshman, 3D printing, and more.

As a member of the Liquid Wire team, I have helped bring the ideas of truly flexible electronics to fruition. Functions of my role included the manufacturing of flexible PCB's and stretch sensors, documenting build procedures, research and development, and mechanical testing using a material testing system (MTS).

Provided a platform for members to have the most memorable experience possible. This included keeping the driving range and amenities stand stocked and in order, cleaning clubs, carts, and the overall work space. This was all done while giving members meaningful interactions that set the tone for their experience.TCC's outside services objective reads as, "We strive to provide excellent service to our members while maintaining a positive attitude and a willingness to assist to the best of our ability. Great service means helping efficiently and in a friendly manner. It is vital to our operation to be able to handle issues for members and do your best to ensure they are satisfied. Providing superior service is what sets us apart from other clubs. We want to be the absolute best outside service team around. We expect the highest level of dedication in reading this objective."

As an outside service attendant, my job was to ensure the quality of a member's experience. This included maintaining a neat, orderly work space, keeping all of our stock up to standards, managing fleet carts, and providing quality customer service to a diverse group of members.

As a tool room assistant, I had to categorize, inspect, monitor, and check tools in and out to fellow engineering students. I guided students on proper machine use and etiquette, and mill and lathe processes. In the additive lab, my role was to perform basic maintenance on our 3-D printers and laser cutter, educate students on how to use the machines, organize build plates, and ensure jobs are fulfilled in a timely manner.
