Captain Austin G. Drake is an Integrated Defense Action Officer for the Security Forces Division within the Directorate of Logistics, Civil Engineering, Force Protection, and Nuclear Integration at Headquarters Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC). As the Headquarters lead for Integrated Defense, he is responsible for Force Protection, Antiterrorism, Physical Security, and Law Enforcement policy and program requirements for Security Forces Operations at 23 United States Air Force and Space Force field units, centers, and plants in support of 5,400 Defenders. Additionally, Captain Drake effectively accelerates change as the Commands’ Security Forces Weapons and Tactics program manager encompassing the Tactical Review Board process and as a sitting member of the Headquarters Air Force Security Forces Weapons and Tactics Action Council.Prior to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Captain Drake served as Chief of Security Forces Inspections for AFMC providing Commanders with comprehensive independent assessments of readiness, effectiveness, and efficiency of thirteen Wings, and seven Air Force Centers. Furthermore, as a Director of Operations at Al Udeid Air Base, he led the largest Noncombatant Evacuation Operation airlift in United States history while guaranteeing exact execution of the Air Tasking Order across the theater.
