I am currently working as a Cyber Security TSE at Tenable with about 3+ years of experience in the IT field and I have accomplished much in that time ranging from a multitude of certifications, hands-on experience with CTFs, homelabs, achieved top 10% in the National Cyber League Competition, and I have also completed my associate in cyber defense.In the NCL competition, I performed an elevated level of competency in Open-Source Intelligence, Cryptography, Password Cracking, Log Cracking, Network Traffic Analysis, Forensics, Web Application Exploitation, Enumeration/Exploitation, and Reconnaissance. (Results in Resume or Projects)I have also been working on my CompTIA trifecta and have received plenty of certifications including a plethora of networking knowledge through my college’s Cisco program. Some of those include Cisco IT Essentials, CompTIA A+, Cisco Networking, CCNA badges, 10+ Linkedin certifications, and Information Security and Cyber Defense. I'm also currently studying for the CEH, INE, CISSP, CISM, CISA, and eventually OSCP. I'm actively practicing Tryhackme (top 5%), CTFtime, HackTheBox, and other CTFs in my free time to better improve my infosec skillset. The specifics that I have learned recently from school or self-training are Metasploit, Nmap, Burp Suite, and utilizing all the basic functions of Kali Linux like Wireshark, Nessus, Splunk, Tcpdump, SQLmap, as well as learning the Security frameworks of NIST, COBIT, ITGC, ISO, and ITIL. I also understand the compliances of SOX, PCI, HIPPA, GDPR and I am willing to learn anything additional to get the job done effectively.I have created my own home networking setup to practice some of the skills that I have learned from school and working on the job. I've Implemented Vlans, flashed a new open-source OS (OpenWRT) for the network, installed redundancy with a router on a stick, insured efficiency of packets with SQM (Smart queue management), and continued to implement more features into my home network as I continue to grow and learn more.I also have strong soft skills working as a server for about 3 years. I've dealt with almost every single problem in the book that you can imagine and have been able to efficiently diffuse the situation time and time again. I am a go-getter. If I do not have the necessary skills or qualifications for a position, I will make sure that I get the certification/skill within that set time frame. I am also currently utilizing such skills as a Cyber Security TSE and I am quite confident in being able to stay calm and handle any task that is thrown my way.
