With the use of Coyote Logistics' centralized and innovative system and technologies, I was able to grow and manage an individual portfolio of accounts through my salesmanship, customer service, and personal relationship building. At Coyote Logistics, I sourced transportation for customer shipments and negotiated rates, thereby making and saving the company money. I also resolved daily in-transit incidents by communicating to all parties to provide agreeable outcomes for all involved. In the logistics and transportation industry, there are ever-changing client needs in a very turbulent market. I was able to navigate this by being highly adaptable and responsive to any circumstance I was presented. With a market such as that and variable costs to consider, I had to analyze, quote, and negotiate rates for shipments on a daily basis. Working at Coyote Logistics gave me great sales experience, new friendships, and an invaluable look into the logistics and transportation industry.

When I interned with JoyRun, I worked with a group of talented and energetic peers. Together we had weekly meetings where we collaborated on promotional strategies, social media campaigns, and plans on how to bring in more users and offerings to the platform. To implement and execute these plans, we engaged in face-to-face marketing where we passed out promotional products and on-boarded users. We recruited restaurants to partner with JoyRun to provide deals and a wider scope of offerings. We implemented our social media campaign through Facebook and Instagram to promote the platform and raise awareness of any delivery deals we had put in place. Through our efforts and teamwork, we brought brand awareness to the Iowa State University campus and grew the number of users to the platform from 0 to approximately 7000 by the time I graduated.

Boutique Window was my first marketing internship, and it provided me with my first hands-on marketing experiences. They gave me numerous opportunities to assist in their sales and marketing efforts. They had me sit in on executive marketing meetings, help write and create content for the website and social media pages, and research retailers for the sales team so they had quality leads to contact. I got to learn about the platform and it's benefits inside and out. In doing so, I was able to demo the platform to current and potential customers and provide customer support when needed. It was an exciting and interesting first stepping stone along my marketing career path.
