By this, we mean we use IoT devices (designed and manufactured at UMD) in conjunction with custom software systems and services to provide full-stack solutions that add real-time visibility and control to business processes and workflows.Primarily using C# (.NET Core 2.x/3.x) on Windows and Linux, I develop a number of web-based applications that process inputs from these IoT devices. The majority of these applications provide voucher services to 'cardholders', who may be identified by virtually any uniquely-coded token like a physical card, ticket or mobile device using a scanner (barcode, QR, NFC) on the IoT device. Once a token is identified, each of the application services determine what action to take based on the organisation that issued the token and/or other criteria from the device, e.g. earn points or redeem a product. When tied with UMD's credit card payment service (Cardgate.net), these applications administer cashless solutions to events or festivals with many vendors.In addition to development of specific applications, I have taken the lead on architecture and common code libraries for cross-application concerns like identity/access control, Web API security, group/organisation management and proprietary ORM for high-performance database solutions.
