I am an alumnus of the University of Florida and triple majored in Statistics, Mathematics, and Economics. I also minored in Actuarial Science to learn basic accounting and finance skills, and I’m continuing my studies for the actuarial exams. My main interests are using data to help understand the world and using statistics to make well-informed decisions for the future. Currently, I am working with the Clinical Affairs team at Exactech to efficiently conduct activities relating to clinical research including site payment, data monitoring, following ethical research guidelines, and communicating study statistics to surgeons and team members. In addition, I analyze data from the National Cancer Database to find trends in how pancreatic cancer is treated throughout the United States, with mentorship from the UF Division of Surgical Oncology at the University of Florida College of Medicine. In the past, I worked at the Sweeney Lab as a lab assistant where we studied treatments for muscular dystrophy. I mostly kept track of inventory, helped with DNA cloning, and learned how to utilize machinery and chemistry involved in biological research. My past and current work and education experiences have taught me the importance of creativity, adaptation, compassion, understanding, and teamwork in the workspace.
