Profile bio

About Austin Corteville

My experience with Computer Science, and the various fields within it, came from an interest in wanting to know why and how things on a computer worked the way they did. This interest lead me to learn more about the tool we use to work with computers: coding. As I learned more, I enjoyed solving the problems presented to me, and wanted a greater challenge. It almost became a passion. This lead me to study Computer Science at the University of Missouri, where I was challenged to learn and grow not only as a student, and a future professional, but also a person. These experiences led me to join my fraternity, Sigma Phi Delta, an International Fraternity of Engineers, which helped me grow even more, become more well rounded, and gave me opportunities in leadership. Through this organization I was encouraged and challenged to grow, which led me to apply at the Cerner Corporation, which I worked at during the Summer of 2021. My experience at Cerner was a great place to gain my first industry experience, and to gain confidence in myself as a future professional, while also giving me an opportunity to learn valuable skills. My next experience was with NISC, which helped me further expand my knowledge and reinforce what I had learned previously at Cerner. The current project I am working on is with IndependUS, where I can polish up my skills, and hopefully make something I will be proud of.This leads me to where I am now, post-graduation, in search for a Full-Time position for which I hope to have the same passion for it, as I did my first line of code.

Listed skills include Leadership, Atlassian Suite, Git, Amazon Web Services, and 38 others.
