Used CATIA v5 to generate 3D detail models from 2D original B-707 drawings, studied original aircraft formals to determine loading conditions, applied those parameters to the corresponding 3D model, and used the results to make decisions on part viability using detailed finite element modeling techniques. Abaqus 3D was subsequently used to generate detail finite element model to pinpoint high stress locations for further analysis, followed by observation and some experience applying PATRAN and NASTRAN software to output finite element analysis results. Finally, I developed professional communication skills by preparing a presentation for more than 60 Boeing managers, other interns, and chief engineers detailing various accomplishments during the internship, including progress and results gained using the previously mentioned software.
