Waffle is a CRM-POS combo that allows local businesses to know exactly what customers bought what items at their stores. With this data, allow merchants to send personalised discounts and campaigns to get customers to come back more often and increase referrals - helping local businesses boost their top-line and deliver the best customer experience :)

StaffAny is a scheduling, timesheet and attendance tool for local businesses. I decided to drop my honours in University to join them as the 2nd sales hire.At StaffAny, I led end-to-end sales - building the outbound sales playbook for Singapore, and into Malaysia and Indonesia; where I closed the first deals in Indo and Malaysia. Racking in 6 digits in ARR for the company and led pivot efforts into manufacturing, logistics and delivery as the global pandemic loomed in and affected our home industry — the F&Bs. This jam-packed experience exposed me to key gaps within the industry and with these insights, decided to start my own adventure!

Workstream is an end to end hiring software for hourly workers. We work with local businesses to help them hire faster, and smarter — sourcing, screening and on-boarding new employees in days! I was the first sales hire at Workstream and built the initial outbound playbook with our CEO. Then used that playbook to close 6-figures of ARR for the company. Also led expansion efforts into new verticals into like hotels, delivery, cinemas and into new states like New Orleans, Portland, Texas and LA via inside sales. One word to wrap up my year with Workstream would be: eye-opening :)

Taking the weekends to teach kids aged 11-16 the basics of basketball :) Mashing in light conditioning drills for a good sweat, to get stronger, and to start the weekends right! This is something I do on the side with my childhood buddy every weekend; as we hope to keep kids active, healthy and enjoy the merits basketball brings- health, competitiveness, determination, teamwork.

Exchangebuddy is a platform and community for budding exchange students to learn from the adventures and stories of those who went before them. With this, they’ll be fully equipped for the adventure of their lifetime! At Exchangebuddy, I worked on Growth — mostly on the platform’s social media channels to engage and grow the community with relevant content. Sharing stories was the key to our strategy and grew the following by 9X in the short 8 months I was with the startup!

I trained the incoming batch of commandos, as they complete their Basic Military Training (BMT) and the Commando Small Unit Leaders Course (CSLC). Our team of Trainers ensured that our trainees train effectively, and safely transit from civilian life to trained soldiers. We did so by carefully planning intense, yet safe training. We learned to identify trainees’ threshold so that we know when to push harder and when to hold them back from overexertionOverall, I learned- professionalism. To always uphold the right values, preach what we teach and always, lead by example.

I led a team of 12 men from different vocations and stages of life, ensured that the team was always operational ready and motivated. I focused on building a conducive environment for my teammates to empathise and learn from one another, so that we can work efficiently as a team, under pressure.We were a determined bunch and were always put out of our comfort zones- I completed the notorious Commando Small Unit Leaders Course (CSLC), completed 6 combat military parachute descend, marched 72 KM to earn the coveted red beret and as a team, we eventually attained the 2015 SAF Best Combat Unit award.
