Cyber-Physical Systems• Engaged in enhancing cybersecurity measures in a research environment focused on OT and IT security by setting up a SOC and SIEM system to detect and respond to cybersecurity threats.• As part of our security setup, we have meticulously installed and configured critical security tools. These include Elastic Search, a powerful tool for log management, and an Intrusion Detection System (IDS). These tools are deployed on an ESXI stack, and we manage hardware components like Catalyst L3 Switches and various firewalls. This setup, achieved through careful planning and execution, creates a secure testbed for red-teaming exercises.• Establishing a comprehensive security infrastructure has significantly enhanced our lab's ability to simulate and analyze cyber-attacks. This marks a substantial step in improving OT and IT security research capabilities.Android Security• Conducted in-depth research on Android security, focusing on reverse engineering Android applications to identify vulnerabilities and improve app security. Analyzed APK files and decompiled code to uncover potential security flaws and provided remediation strategies.• Implemented ARM-based reverse engineering techniques to dissect and analyze Android applications at the assembly level. Utilized tools like IDA Pro and Ghidra to examine ARM architecture, uncover obfuscated code, and enhance understanding of low-level app behavior, contributing to developing more secure Android applications.
