In charge of the entire Human Resources department for over 500 employees located throughout 21 stores. I worked closely with owners, department leads, district managers, and store managers.• Employee Records Maintenance: created and maintained all employee files from orientation to termination• Payroll and Benefits Administration: performed payroll functions; maintained and administered employee benefits including 401K, paid-time-off, and health benefits• Employee Relations: maintained employee relations by answering questions, problem solving, and completing necessary employee documents• Employee Training: organized and ran employee training classes; maintained and improved current employee training programs; helped develop the organization’s safety program• Recruitment and Retention: selected resumes and interviewed potential candidates both over the phone and in person; organized and run job fairs for new locations
