I have a life-long passion in helping to make the world a better place for all beings that live in it, and I strive to do so in my work. Some of my interests include conservation, environmental law and policy, biodiversity, environmental justice, and climate change policy, which I have followed in my studies and in my career thus far. I am seeking to work in the environmental field in a position in which I can pursue my interests and strive to improve the health and well-being of our ecosystems. I completed my Honour's BSc degree at the University of Alberta in Ecology, Evolutionary and Environmental Biology in 2022, in which I received a cumulative GPA of 3.91. Since then, I have had the opportunity to work as a Junior Biologist with Triton Environmental Consultants, in which I worked at an oil sands site. This opportunity allowed me to develop my field work skills and opened my eyes to the impacts industry can have on the environment. In September 2023, I began my Master of Environmental Science specializing in Conservation and Biodiversity at the University of Toronto with the Environmental Science Entrance Scholarship. Through this program, I have fostered my interests in environmental law and policy and learned more about the legislation pertaining to conservation in Canada. This has led to my current position as a Species at Risk Student Biologist with ECCC at the National Headquarters in Gatineau, QB, where I am looking to grow and learn more about the protection of species at risk in Canada.
