As a graduate student researcher, I have designed projects, recruited participants, conceptualized new studies using existing large datasets for 10+ projects, conducted data management, and analysis, performed salivary assays, and trained and mentored undergraduate and post-baccalaureate research assistants to generate research questions, analyze data, and to present findings in conferences.As a graduate TA, I conduct weekly discussion sections, lead exam review sessions, hold weekly office hours, grade and provide feedback, present guest lectures, and assist with developing class materials for undergraduate courses (e.g., research methods, abnormal psychology, health psychology, adolescent development, and developmental psychopathology)

As a research assistant at UC Berkeley, I was involved in several projects. I conducted an in-depth literature review on relevant topics, created data analytic plans, and performed data analyses.

As a research assistant, I created and administered online questionnaires, assisted with clinical interview sessions, performed data management (scoring, coding, and summarizing self-report and interview measures in MS Excel and MS Access), and created data analytic plans, and performed quantitative data analyses.

As a graduate student researcher, for my master's thesis, I designed questions for semi-structured interviews based on empirical research, conducted semi-structured interviews with a sample of older adults involved in lifelong learning courses, and performed qualitative data analysis on participants’ interviews and open-ended responses using NVivo software with applying Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA).
