I am a data scientist with a background in pure mathematics. In May 2020, I defended my dissertation and received my PhD. To expand my knowledge-base, I enrolled in a data science apprenticeship through Thinkful and completed it in July 2020. My experiences have granted me soft, interpersonal skills as well: I have over five years of experience teaching courses at the university level, tutoring, and collaborating with other mathematicians and instructors.I've always had a passion for mathematics since I was a child. I love seeing patterns and making connections with abstract objects. I grew up with strategy games, the Rubik's cube, and a deep love for music theory and music history. In the math realm, topology (in particular knot theory) and its overlap in geometric group theory are the topics of my PhD dissertation.
