I served as a college advisor through AmeriCorps at Harnett Central and Beddingfield High School, serving low-income, first-generation, and under-represented students applying and matriculating to college. I increased FAFSA submissions by 60% my first year and 35% my second year. I helped students apply to and be awarded more than 1.8 million dollars in scholarships in my second year alone. I planned, budgeted, and executed events for families and students at the county level and led trainings at the state and national level over my two years in service.

I Au Paired for a family in Madrid Spain. I spent most of my time helping two elementary age girls with homework, commuting to afternoon activities, and learning English. I created a safe environment where play was incorporated in our daily lives. I took Spanish classes up to a B2 level and am able to hold conversations, read, and write.

Codded multiple hours of one-five second recordings of babies babbling. Our research goal was to determine if babbling from infants was enough to determine if they had autism. The earlier a child is diagnosed the higher chance they have at getting therapies to help them become independent individuals.
