Trip Leader and Guide for hiking and kayaking trips throughout Northwest Arkansas. One of few who is permitted to lead trips in the Buffalo National River Area. Required Wilderness First Aid, CPR and guiding training.

I am the only Volunteer Coordinator in the Arkansas State Parks system and am responsible for the #1 ranking volunteer program in the state. As the Volunteer Coordinator I recruit, organize and manage volunteers to meet staff needs. I assist the interpretive team in planning programs and events for the public. The largest event I planned was Living Forest which had over 600 attendees and 40 volunteers. I have recruited 150 volunteers from community events, organized and hosted 10 volunteer trainings, wrote a 90 page Volunteer Manual, created a Youtube portfolio of training videos, worked closely with our support group Friends of Hobbs, and managed park donations. I am responsible for record keeping, liability waivers, annual reports and maintaining state standards. Because I work closely with all park staff, I have also engaged in trail building/maintenance, a Savannah Restoration project, planting a native pollinator garden, and the endangered Ozark Chinquapin plot.

The mission of the Northwest Arkansas Land Trust is to preserve and enhance the quality of life for all people in Northwest Arkansas through the permanent protection of land. As an intern I preformed trail building, invasive species removal, herbicide application, and community engagement on various nature preserves.

I worked in the USDA Poultry Production and Product Safety Research Unit lab as a program technician. In the lab I performed many tasks such as digestions, extractions, running the Carbon-Nitrogen analyzer, and centrifuging samples. I conducted field work throughout Arkansas using a soil probe, ATV and other heavy machinery. I sampled the Mulberry river in various sites to assess for pollutants. I worked in chicken houses with an ANNOVA sampler and many filters and sensors. I also kept detailed lab records, met safety standards, and was familiarized with USDA and University of Arkansas research standards.

-Cloned plants using the Clonex Propogation System and mapped genetics of strains.-Tested and altered pH of water for plants.-Trimmed 10 lbs of dried marijuana bud which requires a high level of skill and speed.-Operated a $30,000 Cannabis extraction machine.-Worked 70 hours/week watering, deleafing, fertilizing, and any other labor needed.-Installed an HVAC system.

-Worked on a team with an A&M Professor, an SMU professor, a Watershed Scientist at the Trinity River Authority of Texas and a GIS Specialist.-Used vacuum pump, filter and drying oven to find total dissolved solids in the lab.-Used a Electrochemical Dissolved Oxygen Sensor and pH meter in the field.-Collected water samples at 6 sites in the Rowlett Creek Watershed using an ISCO sampler.-Analyzed and organized data extensively in Microsoft Excel.
