Starting as a Sales Intern, I began my journey by learning the art of selling through cold calling. I networked with clientele across states to organize groups for Ole Miss events and tailgates. By understanding the business’s passions, goals, and story, I was able to connect with clients and streamline their game day and event experiences.Ole Miss is renowned for The Grove, where many clients prefer to be located. However, we also offered tailgates in a premium location, right in front of the stadium. Additionally, the tailgates are about a three-minute walk from the stadium. By reframing this space as a "home base" rather than just a tailgate "not in The Grove," I was able to shift the perspective of potential clients, making it an appealing option.Implementing strategies like these helped me successfully close deals. Additionally, I had the opportunity to host clients throughout the football season, connecting the planning process to the successful execution of their events.
