I am a botanist passionate about the protection of California's native flora.I am a certified Field Botanist through the California Native Plant Society. I am a Natural Lands Restoration Volunteer with the San Diego Botanic Garden and a volunteer with San Diego Canyonlands. I am a member of the California Native Plant Society and the San Diego Botanical Society.I discovered a new-to-California plant at the Mojave National Preserve. Lygodesmia grandiflora var. dianthopsis is an aster that has a highly disjunct distribution due to it being restricted to sandy habitats. I documented it for the first time in California!
