About Avery Holderness-Roddam

I am transitioning from the role of Employment Consultant in the Disability Employment Services with Advanced Personnel Management, to the role of Facilitator with the APM Futures team. My new role involves working with young NDIS recipients to help them progress towards their employment goals.My seventeen years of employment have focussed on customer-facing roles in Entertainment Services, Retail, the Fitness Industry and Employment Services.For the past twelve years I have been coaching the Olympic sport of fencing in schools, for community groups, and at weekly club sessions as Van Diemen Fencing Club. Highlights of my coaching career include coaching the Tasmanian Fencing Team (ages eleven and over) at interstate tournaments (including National U15's and Cadet Championships and Open National Championships) from 2015 onwards, and running the inaugural Tasmanian LGBTIQA+ Learn to Fence course in 2021.I have a strong interest in using Social Media for cost-free marketing of services and events, and I have built strong relationships with local Media through which I strive to promote the Olympic sport of fencing.
