My name is Avery Mainor, and I am a 4th year senior studying marketing at the University of Nevada, Reno. I was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, where I discovered the opportunity of continued education that UNR offered. I moved up north to Reno shortly after graduating high school in 2019, and have resided here since. I am currently on month 6 of my year long internship with R&R Partners. I work in the Media Strategy and Publishing department of this company and have acquired many skills along with endless insight into the marketing industry. This has been an incredible experience, as it is allowing me to graduate with experience in my desired field. I'd consider myself eager to learn, structured, accountable, and friendly in a professional setting. I am always looking for new opportunities and constantly strive to gain new perspective, experience, and knowledge.Not only have I held leadership positions in school where I've led volunteer work, my family and I also run a nonprofit organization. This organization is dedicated to helping the Las Vegas youth that are in need of clothing, school supplies, toys, bikes, etc. I believe it is important to offer support to those around us with extra emphasis on anyone struggling. If I am not working or pursuing my education, I prioritize spending time with my family, friends, and dog. I also enjoy anything related to physical and mental well-being such as working out, meditating, reading, and cooking. It is important for me to find a harmonious balance between my personal life and work/schooling life.
