This position exposes me to several aspects of Public Health within the bounds of YMCA Capital Area and the National Association of Chronic Disease Directors (NCADD). I work under the Membership Director to spread the Y’s primary missions among local programs to the community. In partnership with NCADD and CDC, I train in the basics of chronic disease control and prevention efforts.

Assistant to the Director of Sociology at LSU, Kevin Smiley, doing research on Climate Change attribution among Louisiana residents. I mainly participate in qualitative coding that captures attributions of climate change on an individual and community.
