From June 2024-June 2025, my doctoral training will be supported by a NIDA-funded T32 predoctoral fellowship led by Dr. Lloyd Goldsamt. This fellowship will cover my tuition, fees, health insurance and stipend while I continue my doctoral program at the University of Oregon. The purpose of this fellowship is to provide financial support, mentorship, and other professional development opportunities to the next generation of drug misuse researchers. Throughout this fellowship I will develop my dissertation proposal in the field of drug misuse prevention, publish scientific articles, attend scientific conferences, and prepare my application materials for postdoctoral fellowships.

As a Graduate Research Fellow in Dr. Leslie Leve’s lab, I primarily assisted with grant coordination tasks for her NIH-funded project: Environmental Influences on Child Health Outcomes (ECHO). I hired and trained undergraduate research assistants and conduct analyses that were disseminated via academic conferences and scientific articles.

As the Graduate Teaching Fellow, I was responsible for tracking student engagement in the course, providing feedback to students, creating class materials as needed, relaying grading trends and frequently asked questions to the instructor and communicating regularly with students.

Coordinating research activities for a national clinical trial that aims to prevent the progression of risky opioid use to opioid use disorder in primary care patients.
