About Austin Vickers
HI, I'm Austin. I am a Computer Science graduate from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. I have worked as a researcher for UAH and with other software companies in and around the Huntsville, AL area.I have technical skills primarily working with C#, but also am proficient in C/C++ and Java, and have experience working with JavaScript, Web Development tools, SQL databases, and especially game authoring tools like Unity Engine and Autodesk Maya. I am constantly working on side projects and small experiments in my free time.At UAH I focused my coursework on game development, animation, and art through Entertainment Computing Concentration program. I’ve worked with various artists on a number of projects that combine technical implementation with carefully designed aesthetics. I was also an active member of the UAH Honors College and the local ACM chapter.Professionally, I’ve been focused on writing SaaS solutions for enterprise customers, micro services, CI/CD, Modeling and Simulation, and .NET Core. I have experience with XR headsets and developing ‘serious’ games and training applications.Thank you for reading my LinkedIn profile!
