GQoE is a product being developed at Tambora Systems to provide guaranteed quality of experience of video / data delivery to mobile users. Workflow Engine (WFE) is a core component of GQoE product. WFE is a complex, scalable and highly available distributed system developed in such a way that it can be deployed at Mobile Network Operator’s data center (Private cloud environment). Mobile Application is also another key component in entire solution which acts as a sensing trigger to enable quality of experience to users based on the business use case. Currently working as Manager, heading the Work Flow Engine (WFE) module and mobile team. Key Roles Played are● Ownership of WFE and mobile applications.● Responsible for scalable and flexible SOA architecture of WFE (Includes building blocks like Kafka for message queue, Redis for in-memory cache) ● Manage team of 6 to 8● Work directly with company Engineering head to derive the overall product roadmap.● Active involvement in system design and architecture handling

Mobile Application is one of the key component in entire solution which acts as a trigger to enable quality of experience to users based on the business use case. Mobile solution is also available as SDK which could be integrated into third party application on Android and iOS with ease.Currently own up managing of mobile application development team consisting of Android and iOS. Roles involve:- Manage development team which includes Android and iOS- Responsible for Overall system design and architecture- Responsible for project scoping and roadmap development for the team aligning directly with Engineering head- Responsible for handling end to end software development life cycle.- Hands on development support

- Responsible for implementing Audio codec plugin for USAC decoder to be integrated to Android base port for a particular customer.- Exploration on secure way of communicating over Wifi-Direct to a device running Android from a standard mobile client running Android

Moved to a different team which worked on media codec domain.- Responsible for POC to validate performance improvement on Tegra X1/X2 by hooking hardware H.264 codec to webRTC framework instead of Software codec- Involved in python script writing to expedite build / test process of media codec integrated to Android base port. - Worked on enhancing media playback sample application (as part of Android base port) to handle raw file decode.

- Responsible for iOS Tribeway Application development. Led iOS development from scratch till app store upload. Being new to application development learnt required skills and adapted to the new domain. Key roles involved are as follows - a) Major iOS front end work was outsourced to different partners. Responsible for project management and interface to outsourcing partner which involved frequent travel to partner location to guide on requirements. b) Active involvement in client architecture discussion with partner and within the team. c) Ownership of delivering backend library to handle SIP based messaging for chat implementation. d) Ownership of some of the UI modules related to chat module, app login flow, performance improvements etc.- Android application ownership for new product requirement. Also, interfaced with partner companies on some of the UI work which was outsourced.

- Moved to a team working in start up mode on a end consumer collaboration-centric social media service (Tribeway) which was available on Android.- Responsible for P2P and Multi-party audio QoS improvement for Tribeway Android application

- Championed multiple customer projects related to video communication application (involving multi core and multi-processor based embedded platforms). Responsibilities include customer interaction, planning, tracking and coordination, releases, travel to customer site for integration / debug support. Key projects are as follow a) Multi-party video conference prototype on Freescale iMX6. b) Deliver up to 4-way multi-party Audio Video conference solution on customer hardware based on OMAP4 running Android JellyBean. Involved working on challenging requirements like Screen sharing, interoperability, performance issues etc.- Re-architecture of Audio Pipeline for Video Communication Media Engine. Involved in tweaking Audio Jitter Buffer, bitrate Adaptation Modules to improve audio quality.- Ownership of Video Communication Media Engine Module catering to multiple customer / roadmap projects.- Worked in cross functional teams and contributed to organization level projects. My role was to work on codec abstraction layer module catering to different interfaces be it synchronous / Asynchronous

- Re-Architecture of the Video Communication Media Engine for Scalability. Worked as developer to realize N way multi point media communication solution. This solution was implemented successfully in record time of six months which has helped in many system design wins in future.- HD 720P Media pipeline prototype for video phone on TI DM6467- Product Owner to deliver P2P to 3-way multi-party Audio Video conference solution on customer hardware based on OMAP3 running Android Froyo. Work involved handling of entire customer project cycle - Software requirement specifications, Software Acceptance Test Plan, design change, implementation and testing. Traveled to customer location to resolve open issues.

- Integration of Media codec on different embedded platforms mostly based on TI- Develop file based Streaming server media pipeline. This project involved reading the media content from an MP4 file and streaming it to the remote device over RTP in real time. The challenges involved maintaining the thread timing in sending audio and video, constant bit rate transmission over the network etc- Design and implement video phone centric features like Call record, Media Playback, Bridge mode of operation, Photo Shoot and View etc. on DM6446 TI platform. All features involved their own set of challenges related to performance and quality.
