•2019 Award for Outstanding Fleet Support, recognizing a 27-hour remote troubleshooting effort of mission critical issues in a Navy Aircraft Carrier. Troubleshooting involved resolving unexpected cluster server outages.•Lead engineer in recommending solutions to the US Navy regarding Data Storage, Server Hardware, and Intelligent Power. Notable recommendations include urgent technical manual changes, supply chain improvements, and a resolution to unexpected manufacturing changes with COTS equipment.•Evaluated potential shock hazard affecting all systems fleetwide. Determined that the shock hazard was not present and composed and obtained approval of method to repair the wiring mistake. •Developed procedures for NAVSEA approval to configure and upgrade clients including BIOS and software packages. Coordinated the critical path validation and verification (V&V) of procedures, including configuration management of the initial state of the system. No prior experience in client operating system development when working to successfully publishing V&V’d procedures.•Developed and tested planned system upgrades to the US Navy fleet. System upgrades included Server OS, Virtual Machine (VM) OS, NetApp OS, and incorporating NTPS.•Providing recurring training to sailors on a monthly basis in SAN, Intelligent Power, and System Maintenance/Troubleshooting.
