It was used to develop a market data delivery application that brought in $11M of revenue in first year.Redesigned the News alerts generation architecture to an in-memory alert criteria database for search performance improvement while lowering computing costs enabling news volume of 1000+ news bulletin/sec.Integrated J2EE server into Bloomberg proprietary OLTP environment; used an XML based RPC protocol that permitted building application backend and used J2EE technology without rewriting the Bloomberg architecture.Designed the Client Portfolio Database for the trading system to hold regulatory reported positions as well as client’s custom portfolios. With the new design, database handled 90M+ positions on 5M+ securities and delivered sub second response on Bloomberg terminal.Media usage analysis Data warehouse: Analyzed sources and designed the database, developed ETL process, trained users in BI front-end usage. This data warehouse received 1M transactions per week.

Designed and developed a GoldenSource securities model based MDM solution for the Central security master (CSM) . Developed a data dictionary which facilitates definition of distribution structures/ messages and generation of XML schemas. Designed for for loading CSM with reference and indicative data from Bloomberg, SIC, FTSC, S&P, Moody’s and Fitch etc.

Designed a Compliance management tool database that captured NASDAQ Level 1 & 2 quotes, Last sale and ACT reports at the rate of 2000+ rows/sec and enabled capture of feeds in near real time. This is sold as a product by Sun Guard Now. Designed efficient SQL queries to join the data collected with trade and orders data; produced compliance reports that verified best execution practice and compliance with NASDAQ rules. This tool is now a property of SunGard financial systems, available to its customers.Designed sell side trading system database that supported trade execution, order matching, auto execution, routing over FIX 4.2 and CMS, order life cycle, security and client reference data along with functionality like basket trading, indication of interest and quote management for an over the counter (OTC) trading system.Developed a Pink Sheets Trade Monitor system that tracked and published realized and unrealized P&L in near real time. Developed a multi-platform interconnect to handle 2M transactions/day. Extended the application to support online account opening, internet E-mail, account inquiry, customer search by various customer keys, real-time stock quotes, enter & process equity/ mutual fund orders. This allowed the system to scale with 10,000 concurrent users and have presence on popular platforms capturing a large share of market supporting 500,000 customers.Developed an Alert subsystem that captured and presented important transactions and actual/projected events; this affected customer accounts, ensured customers prompt attention to important events and resulted in better customer satisfaction along with reduced default on payments.
