Aditya works in the intersection between social work, business, education and psychology.In the social sector, he is member of a non-profit think tank that tackles a wide range of issues—from organizing health check-ups for sanitation workers with the Indore Municipal Corporation to participating in the Universal Periodic Review of State of Human Rights audits for Cuba under the UN Office of Human Rights Council. They have worked on projects with UNESCO, 2C-Office of Geographer US Department of State, WHO Youth EPI-WIN, Clean Air Catalyst and with local governments and community leaders in France, Ecuador, Slovenia, Cuba, New Zealand, Indonesia, Australia, and India as well.In business, Aditya specialises in consulting "Business for Good" startups, and is currently working as a Consultant to an EdTech company, and a WomenTech startup. His scope of work spans from Product and Marketing Consulting, to Leadership Development and Organisational Culture. In education, he has worked on the ground with schools and colleges in the capacity of a teacher, with special love for student-led projects. He has worked on Hate Speech Inertia and Rehabilitation with students in India, Morocco, Lebanon, Egypt and Jordan, and a COVID-Preparation Health Risk GIS Database with students in Indore, Kathmandu and Dhaka. At the macro level, he has worked on education policy consultation with the Governments of Gujarat and Slovenia. His team is also helping to setup a Socio-emotional Learning Curriculum in Indian Schools and a Braille Printing Press for Classic Literature in India. He has published academic research on Measuring Student Engagement in India, Framework for Student-Led Institutional Development in Indonesia, and Social Responsibility for Educational “Businesses” in Slovakia.In psychology, Aditya works as a mental health counselor at The Thought Clinic, founded by his mother, Alpana Awasthi. He holds certifications in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and LGBTQIA+ Affirmative Counselling. During COVID, he led the India Chapter for an organisation called #MoreViralThanTheVirus, which helped set up online mental health support groups for doctors and frontline works in 12 countries. He has been engaged as an advisor on an age-appropriate Sexual Education Curriculum as a part of a MP Department of Education mandate, a contributor on the Annual Review of State of Sexual Harassment in the Workplace in India by Delhi Council of Ethics, and a previous edition of Vocational Education Report with LabourNet.
