About Axkana Rios-Martinez

I am extremely passionate about social and economic justice which translates to my drive to contribute to the global shift for a circular economy. Over the past years, I have developed my talent in project management, strategic sourcing and negotiation. I have experience leading diverse teams both in an academic and professional setting. Educating and providing people with tools to better themselves is what I do best. This past decade saw an increase in headlines that center on the increase of refugees. Either because of war or economic need, these humanitarian crises are a testament to the struggles and injustices people go to find a better life. With the growing scarcity of our finite natural resources, we can expect to see more climate refugees due to the gradual alterations of our geographic regions. As a child of immigrants who fled economic depression in Latin America, this topic is dear to me. My goal is to meet the environmental challenge that our generation faces by using my knowledge in supply chain and management to help companies maximize efficiency, adopt lean practices and implement sustainable business models to increase profits and corporate social responsibility in the supply chain and logistics process.

Listed skills include Public Speaking, Community Outreach, Microsoft Office, Spanish, and 17 others.
