In charge of System Infrastructure, platform and Brocade-One testing in NetIron Product Test. My team was responsible for complex testing of all Layer 1, Layer 2, Layer 3 features and all new line cards and optics. All key areas of hardware such as FPGA, ASIC, Traffic Manager, LP, CAM, and forwarding are tested. Testing includes scaling of Multi-Chassis Trunking (MCT), VLANs, LAGs, LACP, BGP, MPLS, IGPs, L3 VPNs, 6PE, 6VPE, VPLS, MCAST and Openflow. I also manage the Interop tesbed.The testing contributed a great deal to stability and robustness of key hardware infrastructure and feature interaction in complex and stressful topologies.I drove all testing aspects (hardware and software) of 24x10G Line Card and its optics for MLX platforms which was successfully shiped. The testing included all performance and scalability testing of the line card based on RFC 3918, RFC 2544, RFC 2889 and many other scalacing, trigger and snake tests.

As part of Customer Acceptance Test Team, worked on complex technology solutions for several key customers in US, Japan and Germany and provided full solution documentation on technology, topology, strengths, weaknesses and configuration which contributed to successful customer implementation and more sales revenue for Brocade. The documents were well received by the account team and customers and the test results also helped make the product more stable.

In charge of testing of all unicast areas such as OSPF, BGP, RIP, EIGRP, ICMP, TCP, UDP, IP, ACLs....for new generation of CAT6k (Sup2T). Led all aspects of testing for the first 16 port 10G copper LC for Catalysts 6500. It is also industry's first 10GBASE-T technology in a modular switching platform. I led testing between 16 test teams until the product FCS. I led the IOS componentization effort for Cat6k and successfully implemented the new softwae branch in the BU which was a a 2 year cross-functional project.

Responsible for IOS OSPF development and sustaining. I was responsible for development of all OSPF new features which ran on majority of Cisco platforms. The OSPF development team achieved the lowest number of CFDs and CFRs and became the most active IOS dev team in IETF with most of the team engaged in IETF drafts. I made sure Cisco dominated and drove all drafts related to OSPF in the working group for 4 years. Worked closely with TAC and Advanced services on many customer escalations and participated in many customer calls. Every OSPF developer in my team was assigned OSPF IETF drafts to study and follow.

Responsible for testing all IOS routing components: OSPF, EIGRP, RIP, ISIS, BGP, IP infra, netflow and Mobile IP devtest. I also managed scalability and performance testing for routing protocols on 7500 and GSR routers. All new features were automated using TCL and were added to the automated regression library. My test teams were in San Jose, RTP and India. I implemented automated regression capability for developers to run routing protocol regression on their own which provided faster commit of code and enhanced quality before code hand over to SQA. I was the first SQA test manager that required test engineers to attend IETF and NANOG and follow up standard drafts. I led the engineering team that defined the pre-commit code process for IOS development.

As SQA engineer worked on EIGRP and OSPF and ACL new features. I was the only SQA engineer that tested the EIGRP internal design changes which was key to many customer's network stability. I was the only SQA engineer that worked on IOS Mobile IP and worked closely with Motorola and Nextel engineering teams for field tests and presentation of Mobile IP's capabilities. All my new feature tests were automated using TCL and were added to Cisco's main regression library.

Network Management (NMPD) - worked on Novell's Network Management product and tested snooper, NLMs, SNMP and different network maps created by the application. Also worked on testing different live tables showing network objects/conversations/pkts and many other stats. Used automated GUI tools to test the product. MPR (Multi-Protocol Router) - worked on the Link State based protocol and tested many of its features in the Novell environemnt.CNE - Certified Netware Engineer
