Ayesha Miah is the Client Services and Strategy Manager for the Detroit Regional Partnership (DRP), a leading economic development nonprofit serving the 11-county Detroit Region. In this role, she leads DRP’s Requests for Information (RFI) Team in developing and executing astrategy to advance the Region’s responses to hundreds of unique RFIs for industrial and office projects. At the Detroit Regional Partnership, I support our business development team with RFI responses and account management for hundreds of unique projects. When a company is interested in expanding in the Detroit Region, I develop an RFI response based on their project needs. This includes reaching out to community partners, gathering relevant data and information, and packaging a comprehensive proposal that builds a compelling case for the region. Each proposal covers everything from our industry ecosystem to our talent pipeline. I take care to provide supplemental materials that can preemptively answer questions that companies may not know they have—whether those materials are broker sheets and utility reports or workforce demographics and local incentives.In my role, I also help coordinate virtual and in-person events for site selectors, such as hosting groups for the Site Selectors Guild and Area Development Magazine. Global Detroit's Banglatown project's aim was to assess the needs of the immigrant community along the Detroit and Hamtramck border.- Assessed the needs of the Bangladeshi immigrant community through community outreach and workshops, which looked to bring in resources to provide opportunities and economic and social growth to Southeast Michigan. - Directed youth inclusion by introducing youth ambassadors and creating a social media presence, bridging the gap between resources and the community's older generations, who are barred by cultural and language barriers.

DFC's Field Guide to Working with Lots works to revitalize vacant land that makes up a large part of the landscape in Detroit. It includes a web-based tool and a workbook that provides guidance, resources and instructions for residents, volunteers, and professionals to transform vacant land in ways that will benefit the standards of the community within the realms of safety, engaging community members, education about land use and the environment and beautification .My responsibilities:- Assisted with managing DFC’s Field Guide grant program by collaborating with DFC staff, project partners and grantees in organizing workshops, tours, and community events. - Updated the Field Guide Workbook and developed its web base tool using feedback gathered from grantees to create a more efficient and user friendly interface for residents - Refined and updated resource pages for residents by contacting businesses and organizations and developing a partnership between them, the project and its grantees. - Launched the Field Guide’s Ambassador Program which assists other residents looking to revitalize vacant lots with those who have done so already
