Technical and logistical support to UNIDO’s project in Syria (i.e. Ministry of Industry/ Vocational Training Centres in Damascus and Aleppo):• Provide technical input for training materials and content development, in addition to supervise the training work at the Vocational Training Centres of Damascus and Aleppo;• Follow up all contracting services and procurement cases for projects in Syria as per UN standards and policies including the establishment of a network of vendors, identification of technical requirements and ToRs, proceeding the purchases and good receipt of products, etc;• Supervise the quality of training sessions in addition to full reporting and documentation;• Ensure timeliness, compliance with UN guidelines and standards;• Provide reporting, implementation documents (work plans, project progress) and other administrative tasks;• Coordinate Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning and (MEAL) duties, including final assessment reports;• Conduct meetings with partners, trainings sessions, travels, field visits and other project activities;• Manage the communications with the governmental counterpart (i.e.: the focal point at the Ministry of Industry);• Manage the day-to-day financial and administrative operations and office support systems, including bookkeeping of the operational cash advances for the project;• Provide translation support for non-Arabic speaking team members when on mission.
