Managing a 24x7 IT application support team, based on ITIL framework, for a large retail customer Marks and Spencer, in the UK having approximately 100,000 employees. The team size was 10 and we were responsible for IT support at Tier 2. The incident management tool used was Remedy and the solution for the customer was several Ceridian proprietary software and SQL Server as database. Main responsibilities:● Personnel sourcing (project resource - recruitment, on-boarding, induction and ramp-up)● Act as an escalation point from Tier 1 and to assist Tier 3● Incident and problem management including service requests● Meeting customer SLA (Call to fix and aged ticket)● Coordinating knowledge, management and training of project team● Capacity planning● Issue and risk management ● Quality management ● Meeting of service level management (following an ITIL based framework)● Metrics/KPI reporting (including trending, forecasting and analysis)● Project finance controls (time and expenses)● Implementing continuous improvement plans and initiatives

Ceridian internal capability development with over 250 group members.Main responsibilities:● Capability objective / target setting, chartering● Design boot camp training for University Graduates● Design an internal training curriculum for each capability group● Design skill matrix so that each IT colleague can be assigned to a capability group based on proficiency level● Creation of credential for each capability group to be used for marketing● Worked with the University of Mauritius and University of Technology to review their curriculum to align to the IT industry.

Developing and supporting payroll applications and solutions for Ceridian UK. The team size was 15 resources working on VB6, VB.Net and SQL. The number of customers using the system is around 4000. The software is deployed in a hosted Citrix environment, as a Click-Once application and local installation as the customer site. The front-end payroll application was developed solely in Mauritius with a team of 20 people which was led by me. The back-end software, Payroll Active, the flagship cloud based application was initially developed at TCS (India) and I worked on the knowledge transition management to the Ceridian development team in Mauritius for further development and support. Developing and supporting a web version payroll applications and solutions for Ceridian UK. The team size was 5 resources working on VB6, VB.Net, ASP, ASP.Net, Java Script, XML/XSLT and SQL. The number of customers using the system is around 50 and around 5000 users.Main responsibilities:● Delivering change requests and projects initiated by the business by writing of functional specifications, estimating the task(s), design tests, system tests, regression tests, supporting user acceptance tests, impact analysis and together with related changes and initiations.● Develop, update and maintain the application test plan in accordance with the client and project needs and methodology standards.● Create test models, data, plans and scripts.● Create common test data that can be used by multiple test phases, ensuring the data preparation and maintenance is completed on time.● Resolves the deficiencies of the application that arise from the testing process.● Delivering SLA changes requested by the business.● Support key-users with functional questions and initiate corrections when needed.● Pro-actively report status and progress of own deliverables to management and report as soon as possible any deviation in the schedule.● Carefully manage scope of work, in order to ensure timely delivery.● Assist the implementation team while preparation of a go-live business unit, e.g. set-up configurations.● Document improvements.● Support key-users with functional questions and initiate corrections when needed.● Mentor and train new team members on the project.
