The principal activities of the Company are the ownership, operation and maintenance of the 1600 MW nameplate capacity multi fuel fired power plant (gas, furnace oil and diesel) at Kot Addu, Punjab. The Company sells the electrical energy produced from its power plant to its single customer, the Central Power Purchasing Agency (Guarantee) Limited (CPPA-G).The Company power plant is Pakistan largest combined cycle power plant. The plant comprises of 10 multi fuel fired gas turbines and 5 steam turbines installed in 5 phases between 1985 and 1997. These turbines are divided into 3 Energy Blocks with each Block having a combination of gas and steam turbines.
