I'm a senior at Western Michigan University majoring in Digital Marketing and E-commerce. I started my involvement in Haworth by joining the Digital Marketing RSO (the only current one in the country at the time) - where I was working on the marketing committee, that was my first experience seeing the behind-the-scenes of marketing for events and using social media as the main tool for that. Also, I have always been involved in my sorority organization, Alpha Phi, where I held the position of Vice President of New Member Education. This organization immensely built my leadership, public speaking, project management, and interpersonal skills. I loved having a community of such diverse personalities.After that, I went for the Director of Communications position on the College Panhellenic Council. My main drive for this was to test myself with a bigger role and to have real experience in managing social media. I learned so much about my own abilities, how to be an efficient problem solver, and how to take every misstep as an opportunity to learn. We also did some pretty amazing things for our community. I studied abroad in Italy this summer through the CIMBA program, where I was able to tour four international companies. That experience was challenging, full of growth, inspiring, and drew me to want to be a part of the global marketplace and reach global audiences with marketing.Following graduation this summer, I'm looking for a job with an environment where individuality is celebrated, collaboration is a key part of success, and there are global opportunities.
