Funded research by government Ontario via Ontario-Jiangsu student exchange program. Worked with Dr. Jizhou Lai in NUAA and Dr. Zoe Zhu with the topic: Monitoring city flooding with unmanned aerial vehicle.My research results showed that an integration of unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV) platforms, photogrammetry and geographic information systems provides faster and more precise information on possible flooding area as compared with traditional techniques. Most importantly, it connects single local points observation to form whole scene’s view of a region and opens new directions for future researches on city flooding and stormwater management.
