As an Environmental Intern, I was responsible for conducting energy audits on gas and air leaks, potentially saving Daikin a minimum of $35,000. Additionally, I worked on projects aimed to reduce metal and wood scrap produced on the manufacturing floor. I successfully reduced 26,500 lbs of wood waste and saved 19.6 metric tons of CO₂ emissions. I was also tasked with updating Environmental Metrics to help visualize trends and achieve our zero waste goals. I was selected to be a part of the marketing team's recruiting strategy, which included filming a day in the life of an intern video.
