• administering medication to residents as prescribed by their healthcare provider• Conducting daily assessments of all residents to monitor their health status and identify any changes that need to be reported to the healthcare team• Transcribing and implementing all physician orders for the residents under their care• Coordinating all appointments, including those with outside agencies, rehabilitation services, and therapies• Supervising all caregivers and nurses, including conducting annual evaluations and providing counseling as needed• Conducting monthly continuing education in-services for staff to ensure they are up to date on the latest best practices and regulations• Managing all financial accounts for the facility, including budgeting for, and purchasing monthly food, managing petty cash accounts, and overseeing the purchasing of house supplies• Supervising and mentoring nursing staff, including scheduling and managing staff• Ensuring compliance with regulations and standards, including HIPAA, OSHA, and state and federal laws• Advocating for the rights and best interests of the residents under their care• Communicating effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members to establish trust and build positive relationships• Ensuring that all documentation is accurate, timely, and in compliance with regulations• Coordinating admissions and discharges and ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed in a timely manner• Implementing and reviewing care plans for residents to ensure they are meeting their needs and goals• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive and coordinated care• Providing education and support to residents and their families• Managing and monitoring inventory and supply levels• Acting as a liaison between the facility and outside agencies, such as hospitals and healthcare providers
