• Ensure accuracy in all files from the beginning to the end stages within the department, which consists of Illustrator, Esko, and final LEN or TIFF files.• Final file check included the following: Resolution, Distortion, Stepping, Compensation and Bump curves, Printer Marks, Separations, Trapping, and UPC Verification.• Responsible for running Kodak and GMG proofs, as well as checking to make sure the proofs fell within our specified tolerances.•Developed an Internal and External spreadsheet to track errors within the department, with the end goal being to pinpoint common mistakes and how to prevent them in the future.

• Worked as a production artist setting up art files for companies such as Frito Lay, Snyders of Hanover, and Wise Potato Chips.• Pre-flighted outside TIFFS to ensure the files were correct before being sent to make plates.• Updated signage throughout the building, including the past interns poster, as well as assembled 7-color swatch books for customers who requested them.

• Expanded my knowledge of the commercial printing industry by working in customer service, prepress, sheetfed/web pressroom, bindery, mailing & fulfillment, and the ink lab.
