As a draftsman for the company I am responsible for drafting technical drawings and rendering models based on specifications provided by the company's engineers. I work on a wide variety of projects often including residential, commercial, and industrial projects with the occasional institutional and municipal project mixed in.Through this position I have become familiar with a number of drafting and modeling softwares. These include AutoCAD, Revit, Forte, SketchUp, and Solidworks. I would say that I'm most proficient with AutoCAD and Revit being that we use these softwares for a majority of our projects.

As the combined administrator I held three distinct rolls related to erosion and sediment control regulation and enforcement: inspector, plan reviewer, and administrator.As inspector I conducted regular inspections on active construction sites (agricultural, commercial, and residential) throughout the county ensuring that the developer is following the erosion and sediment control (E&SC) regulations put in place by the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (VADEQ) and by Rockingham County's E&SC Ordinance. If discrepancies were found I worked closely with the developer to get the site back into compliance.As plan reviewer I reviewed site plans submitted primarily for commercial and large agricultural construction to ensure that they met the standards and specifications set forth by the E&SC laws and regulations. This included checking the type, placement, and sizing of E&SC measures detailed on the site plan. In this position I was in frequent contact with those that prepare the plans (engineers, architects, etc.) working with them to guarantee that all requirements were met.As administrator I preformed tasks that were essential for the function of Rockingham County's E&SC program. It was my responsibility to organize and manage all information collected from the active construction projects requiring a Land Disturbance Permit throughout the county. I was one of the first faces a new developer saw when they came into the office to obtain the permits for their construction project. I worked diligently with them informing them of the regulations related to E&SC set forth by the County and the State answering any questions they may have had and provided them with the appropriate literature. Additionally, I worked with the public fielding any questions, concerns, or complaints they may have had related to E&SC.

I assisted in the pre-business hours preparation of the dining room, served the club patrons, and performed closing duties.For the event assistant position I primarily prepared the event rooms for large group events (weddings, conferences, etc.), assisted with both serving and catering events, and on several occasions took the senior roll directing the other event assistants.

Researched and developed sustainability programs to be implemented around the JMU campus as well as assisted with the implementation of several sustainability programs already in place.

Assisted in the conduction of the lab portion of this class and helped with grading assignments.

Assisted in the preparation of food and maintenance of the facilities.
