I am a Full-Stack Developer with the Public Service Commission of Canada (PSC). I am part of a small IT team based in Halifax, but I regularly work remotely with the much larger team at our HQ in Gatineau. I have over 3 years of professional experience working with Spring Boot, Thymeleaf, and Oracle databases. During that time I've delivered high-quality solutions to our clients, mentored colleagues and students, and maintained a suite of over 20 applications and services.I like watching numbers go up. At work, this means upgrading dependencies wherever possible. I have successfully completed several major framework upgrades, moving our apps from Spring Boot version 1 to 2, while laying the groundwork to upgrade to Spring Boot 3. I am also working on upgrading our Java apps to the newest LTS version, JDK 21.Beyond my professional work, I am a big fan of working with React. I enjoy experimenting with new features and building things with it in my spare time. I recently built a web app in React that can be used to track the nutritional value of one's meals. This allowed me to practice integrating with APIs, creating complex forms, handling user input, and presenting data.
