I led initiatives focused on the health, Food and nutrition and protection of children with disabilities My primary responsibilities included developing and overseeing child with disabilities protection programs, such as physiotherapy, medication, nutrition and safeguarding children with disability rights and their well-beingI ensured adherence to best practices in child care and protection and managed detailed records of children with disabilities at the rehabilitation Centre maintaining accurate tracking of their progress in development. My role also involved compiling weekly and monthly reports to highlight the impact of program activities on attitudinal changes and engaging parents through sensitization meetings to strengthen relationships and raise awareness about their children with disabilities experiences and management. Through these efforts, I worked closely with communities to ensure that children with disabilities are protected, supported, and empowered to thrive despite their challenging circumstances.

I oversaw program planning, budgeting, and the entire project lifecycle, ensuring timely and accurate financial and narrative reporting. I led the monitoring and evaluation processes to enhance program quality and effectiveness, while collaborating with district departments, technical partners, and local organizations to ensure strong partnerships and effective program delivery. Additionally, I supported local partners through capacity development, enabling them to implement and manage DRR interventions independently.My efforts facilitated the creation of Disability networks and partnerships with district administrations and NGOs, securing financial and technical support for the initiatives. I also prepared detailed work plans and activity reports, maintaining project transparency and accountability My role also involved spearheading advocacy strategies, raising the profile of NUWODU through the production and dissemination of Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials, and overseeing the implementation of DIDRR in Kasese district

I had the greatest impacts in URDT. Through this position, I provided technical leadership in the development and delivery of gender programming in the ESFROMA project in Bunyoro Sub-region I ensured that the project aligns with URDT's strategic priorities, I supervised a team of 12 epicenter center managers. I facilitated collaboration with key partners, including local government, and civil society organizations, ensuring that program objectives were met through regular engagement and knowledge-sharing across the organization. , I played a pivotal role in developing and implementing gender assessment tools to identify issues that concerns which hinder women’s active participation into farming.Key achievements includedProvided technical leadership and support in the integration of gender concerns across the directorate of Epicentre StrategyProvided gender integration guidance and support to project technical teams with implementing innovative and impactful interventions to transform negative social norms and increase access to quality family planning services Conducted several trainings for Epicentre managers and communities in Gender and Gender Action learningDeveloped a Gender pictorial training manual and ESFROMA gender policy Supported staff to build capacity in gender analysis, gender mainstreaming planning and budgeting. I played a role for coordinating the SGBV program. This included quality control, reporting, analysis and policy setting as well as coordination of different teams and partners. The objective of this role is to provide GBV prevention and response to affected women and girls with disabilities and, to strengthen the response capacity to the organizationKey Achievements5 community awareness creation were conducted in regard to the prevention and protection among women and girls with disabilities about GBV in Mayuge district Facilitated to 50 persons with disabilities training on economic and how to start up income generating activities among young women with disabilities in Mayuge district. Trained 35 health officers on Disability Mainstreaming training in Kamuli district Translated SGBV communication materials into local language and led the dissemination of Gender Based Violence training and learning materials and IEC materials Coordinated processes of research, documentation and regular sharing of best practices and innovations for learning and policy influencing at the local, national regional and international levels I developed the SGBV disability training manual for the organization

In this role, I successfully provided psycho-socio support/counseling to clients. I was responsible for representing FIDA in various Platforms for example on Radio talk shows, trainings, Conventions and participated in the legal mobile clinics. My duties included; Providing counseling, conducting financial trainings to clients, assisting clients to attain fees and tuition for their school going children, referring clients especially men to other legal service providers for example Uganda law society Justice Centers and to other FIDA offices in the country and conducting regular counseling sessions to staff. Also helped 30 clients who had cases in court to settle their matters and forged their way forward Provided support to clients through mediations to have a common understanding on marital issues. This positioned the organization as the best in handling family and marital issues since clients appreciated the service and many reached an agreement/ reconciled.Prevented litigation cases by clients through providing effective counseling

While here, I developed a variety of instructional techniques and formats to facilitate training. My duties included; orientation of new staff members about organization policies and regulations, training groups and individuals to be prepared for/competitive in the job world, developing and designing a course curriculum, and preparing periodic reports for the various trainings conducted. Designed and facilitated a stimulating informative and organized job readiness by searching for training programs to groups or individuals. This created awareness to persons with disabilities who were looking for job opportunities to be aware of the critics thus prepared them for interviews and change of attitudes towards them.Coordinated the orientation sessions for new recruits. This facilitated a work force development programme (co-worker training) which enabled them to understand the different roles and responsibilities that were allocated to the various departments.
