Was involved in the development of a CFD process in the technical safety field for Cobra Advice. As part of this work I was conducting an R&D project to validate OpenFOAM in the field of gas dispersion. The idea was to be able to use this tool to work out gas cloud sizes and feed that information to FLACS for the explosion modelling. While at Cobra I implemented a local file storage solution for Cobra Advice data, using a NAS file server as part of our internal network.
