Computer Systems Manager at the Division of Student Development and Enrollment Management (DSDEM) at UNT. At one time or another during my time in the DSDEM I have supported each of the departments and had many roles. My duties have included active directory management, backup operations, disaster recovery, building and managing firewalls, building and managing servers, deploying new workstations, data security compliance (FERPA and HIPAA), software license compliance, support and user documentation, desktop and server support, inventory, maintaining support agreements and warranties, maintaining video surveillance servers, supervising part-time, full-time and student employees. Employment with the DSDEM was in two positions: Computer Support Specialist and Computer Systems Manager.

Was responsible for bringing online the computer-based testing program at UNT. This consisted of one server with nine clients. There were eight testing stations and one administrator terminal for registrations and check-ins. Was the primary for every task related to this network: administrative and technical. Performed hardware upgrades and replacements as well as software migrations and upgrades. Maintained the department’s website. Supervised student employees.
