As a senior commercial leader acting at operational board level both in the UK and internationally, I have over two decades of experience leading sales and account teams, developing profitable relationships in both B2C and B2B environments. I have driven significant sales growth in the consumer goods market for both Unilever and Camelot developing and leading partnerships with all major UK grocery and high street retailers, including the top 4 grocery accounts and major convenience groups. I utilise all aspects of joint business planning, channel and category management to deliver mutual business benefits using CRM processes and systems as well as leading edge selling and negotiation techniques. I have subsequently worked on fixed term contracts and on a consultancy basis helping SME’s and start-ups as well as larger businesses succeed in competitive tender processes, and in developing insight based commercial strategies. My true strength lies in my operational and team leadership skills and in taking accountability for converting strategy into growth plans and their execution, optimising existing business, bringing new products and processes to market and winning new business.I focus on people and have led sales and consultancy teams of up to 20 people developing great team cultures and focussing on individuals’ personal development. I take great satisfaction in seeing how I can help people progress in and I have continued this in my volunteering with the Princes Trust mentoring young people.During my career I have led and been a key functional expert in major transformational, cross-functional projects delivering against very tight timescales including winning the 3rd UK Lottery licence and subsequent contract extension as well as major new product and sales team initiatives with involvement from idea stage through to delivery to market.
