Growing up I have never been able to just check one box when it comes to my personal identity, being half German and African American. This has made me stand out and I embrace it, I have a passion for being my own person. I am a sponge that is always wanting to absorb new traits and learn new skills. I am someone who has a passion for creating new things whether it is building new relationships or making crafts. I find inspiration in looking at things from different points of view. I come from a family of world travelers and have been able to learn more outside of the classroom by experiencing life. I find that learning comes in all forms and shapes and travel is my kind of learning. My mom left Germany to explore America for the first time at 18 and since then we have been able to explore more together. for the longest time, I did not know what I wanted to do in college because I have never been interested in a regular office job. I was able to find my passion for travel and making connections with people in Hospitality tourism which also includes event management. I have been able to take this degree with previous knowledge from volunteering for events like the father-daughter dance, Musicals, and farmers markets. I will continue to strive to learn as main traits or skills thought life to become more well-rounded in my career field and in my daily life.
